Personally, I find it difficult now to pinpoint what I want to eat. Then, pregnant women need to get all the nutritious veggies and fruits. The tastiest, easiest, and cheapest snacks I found so far are from the grocery.
Going to the grocery to pick up snacks is both healthy and thrifty. Pre-sliced fruits are available in personal sizes, perfect for preggy women who suddenly hates the food she craves. They go lovely with a dash of iodized salt but go easy on it!
– Grapefruit
– sliced watermelon
– Bananas
– Pineapple slices from Dole
– Sweet corn that you can boil yourself for a little exercise
– Raw nuts that you can also boil at home and share with the family (perfect for watching TV), make sure you boil it really well.
Also, when you think you haven’t had the right amount of vegetables, there are also salad kits that come with dressing and croutons. No need to buy whole lettuces and other leaves, just pour them into a bowl and enjoy.
Sharing food with your family and partner makes eating the food you crave more enjoyable and also helps you keep tab on your portion size 🙂
