Great stress-free Saturday mommies! Today I want to share some photos of the newest plants I’ve grown from seeds – tomatoes and okra. My tomato seedlings just sprouted yesterday actually and I am extremely excited to see them grow! Here they are:
Tomato seedlings sprouted after a week of sowing the seeds.
These are how okra sprouts look like, they have now grown into tall seedlings with 3 leaves. This photo was taken about a week ago, they grow very fast and I have transplanted 2 seedlings into the ground. My eggplant seedlings (about 10) have been transplanted as well. I noticed though they grow slower on the ground rather than in a container pot. So I retained 3 healthy seedlings in a container.
This morning, I’ve diluted some fertilizers and watered my plants with them. I am keen to learn how to compost but time is scarce, I heard you can compost just about anything like your neighbour’s gurkha cigars or any fruit/vegetable peelings.
My plants, more than being a training ground for a venture I want to pursue (agriculture) takes off a lot of stress from my shoulders. I love how plants let you take care of them and bear fruits on their own in the future, just like teaching a person and that person becomes successful in the future – something like that haha 🙂
