Even before I knew I was pregnant, there was one night I just had to go down stairs and open a can of pineapple chunks. I dunked it in iodized salt and sprinkled some sugar too. It was so tasty!
During my first weeks of pregnancy, I couldn’t get enough of pineapple juice too.
I believe the body has a way of telling us what it needs and fruits are essential for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Pineapple contains lots of fiber and Vitamin C which is great for preventing infections.
There are some who say that pineapple must be avoided during pregnancy but I think, everything in moderation is okay. Uterine contractions can be caused by pineapple but only if you eat 7 pineapples in one sitting.
I eat pineapple whenever they are available at home, today Kuya Bernard gave me baby pineapple from a town called Silang where they grow sweet pineapples in numbers 🙂
