Old wives tales on whether you are having a baby girl or boy is fun to hear but leaves mommies even more confused on baby’s gender. As early as the first trimester, baby’s genitals are already forming but are not yet visible via ultrasound – may it be 4D or not.
Pink or blue? Hold your purses until you’re sure what baby is!
I searched on YouTube and some parents have uploaded videos of 4D ultrasounds as early as 12-13 weeks but when I asked my OB, she said the best time to have a 4D ultrasound is during the 18th-20th week. By this period, baby won’t look too skinny and have some fats already hence, facial features are cuter in other words 🙂
If you’re lucky and have a well-trained sonologist, then the gender of your baby is likely to be determined as early as 18 weeks. I am currently on my 14th week and in 4 weeks time, I’ll be in line to have a 4D Ultrasound as well. Yipee!

It’s best to review these centers first and compare prices plus the accuracy of their services. Some allow walk-in patients but it’s wiser to always set an appointment.
