Just two weeks ago, I bought a fancy baby carrier that made Ashton look like Winnie the Pooh:
I’ve read so much how “wearing your baby” creates much more bonding and feeling of security for the little ones. I tried wearing Ashton when he was smaller, around 3 weeks using a baby sling. I bought it for Php 1,000 and it came with a CD. However, I was not successful using it. I only used it twice and only in an airconditioned room.
The cloth sling needs to be super tight which could make the baby perspire easily. I also felt it was dangerous, that or I don’t know how to use it right. Now that Ashton is bigger, I can use a baby carrier. I think it is safer to use a carrier only if your baby has learned to manage and control his head.
The carrier I got was Php 600 ++ and the brand is Disney. Unlike other carriers, it is a bit smaller but I liked the softness, color, and how it doesn’t have too many contraptions.
Ashton smiles at the sight of it. Try facing the mirror with the baby facing forward on the carrier. They love seeing their own reflections. With the carrier, I have a little bit more fun playing with Ashton, we can dance while I hold his two hands, go to different spots in the house, and again – he just likes seeing the two of us making wacky moves in front of the mirror.
Although when I use it, I always need my husband’s assistance in putting Ashton inside the carrier and let his legs pass through the holes. Same with getting him off of it. Any tips on how to do this easier?
