Lately I’ve been feeling like a worn-out rug. I am still in the process of moving to my own house and it feels like moving to Virginia. When I woke up this morning, I handed Ashton to my aunt so I could freshen up.
Little did I know that my little boy had been picking flowers from our garden.
I’d count this as the first flowers I received from Ashton. And I wish for many more to come. I like receiving flowers, it feels like magic.
And here’s Ashton’s photo with the gardener, my mom who has a green thumb. She is a flower-whisperer, if there is such 🙂 Now I’ve really come to realize that the happiest moments are tucked in at home, waiting to be unwrapped.
Ashton reminds me everyday that I am making the right decisions. I wouldn’t give up moments like these, early morning surprises, hugs and kisses during ungodly hours, and snapping photos of memories we’d love to freeze and look back to when we get old.
Now if only I can free up more time. I am reading on how Virginia Movers and Virginia Moving Companies help moms like me. I’d also need to research on cleaners who have the right tools to get the job done.
What was the latest surprise you got from your kids?
