Baby Sleep and Bath Time

I just attended my first blog event as a mommy! Thank you to Johnson & Johnson’s, me and other moms to be learned more about their baby bed time formula. Hopefully, my little boy will sleep easy with the 3 steps I learned today.

According to the pediatrician who was present at the event, babies release 3x more growth hormones when they are having a good night’s sleep. Hence, it’s super important that baby gets enough and quality sleep. To do this, Johnson & Johnson’s advice moms to follow their bedtime routine:

Christine Bersola-Babao was the day’s host, she will give birth tomorrow! 🙂

Step 1: Warm bath or punas – at first, I thought many moms and lolas would reject bathing their babies during night time but actually, it is easier to bathe babies at night and it is the first step to a sweet slumber.

Step 2: Soothing massage – I learned 3 massages that are recommended by midwives they are the I love you massage, the butterfly, and the milking movements.

Step 3: Quiet Time – means cuddling, storytelling, etc. This is the last step to put baby to sleep. Following the 3 steps have been proven to provide babies uninterrupted deep sleep which is important for their physical and psychological growth.

Johnson’s bedtime even has a website with lullabies that moms can download to play during quiet time, bath time, and massage time. Very interesting and helpful, click on http://babycenter.com.ph/bedtime

I went with my auntie who will play a big role in raising my baby boy too 🙂

I believe it is equally important to let your partner and family know about your bedtime plans when the baby arrives. Babies depend on routine, and consistency is the key to a good night sleep for you and your baby. Educate your baby helpers like lola, tita, yaya, etc.

The bedtime routine is best for babies 1 year and up 🙂 We surely learned a lot today and I can’t wait to enjoy a happy bedtime with my baby boy ^^
