Good pork ribs are hard to come by in restaurants, plus they are very expensive! I first tried this recipe during my husband’s birthday. Instead of dining out, I prepared this dish for all the family to enjoy at a fraction of the price.
My younger sister is also celebrating her birthday this week and I plan to make this again
Easy Baby Back Ribs Recipe
2 kg pork ribs – they should look similar to the cooked version. If skinless and fatless version is not available at the meat section, you can physically remove the fat and skin on your own just like I did. You also need to remove the thin white film that covers the bones. Watch this video.
3/4 cup coco sugar – or you can use regular brown sugar but coco sugar is healthier (also available in the grocery)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp paprika powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or chili powder
2 cups bbq sauce – I use Sweet Baby Ray or Hunt’s
Combine all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Generously rub the mixture on all sides. For easy clean up, line a baking tray with aluminum foil before laying down the ribs on it. Also cover the baking tray with foil so that the top portion of the ribs don’t burn.
Bake in a turbo broiler or in oven for 2 1/2 hours at 300F
After baking time, remove the ribs (still in pan) and brush all sides with the barbecue sauce. Return to broiler without top cover until the bbq sauce glaze looks cooked and bubbly around 5-10 minutes.
Serve with barbecue sauce.
