School has started and based on past experience, going to school also means that my child is more exposed to viruses and more likely to catch colds, cough, and flu. Note there are other types of common viruses that can cause other serious symptoms like diarrhea, stomach pain, etc.
If like me and your child seems to suffer from these viral and bacterial ailments every school year, consider the Vitamin C that your child is taking. Just recently I switched my son’s vitamins from a leading brand to a less popular one. Now my son is free from colds & cough which before seem to never go away and I do not want to keep him on cough medicine.
It also helped that I make sure he eats properly every meal time which may have contributed to a stronger body in general. I shared this with fellow moms waiting for their kids in school and one of the brands that came up was Fern-C.
Where to Buy Fern-C Kidz & Price
Many adults are hiyang or loyal users of Fern-C, it is popular for being a non-acidic source of Vitamin C. Because it is Sodium Ascorbate, it is better tolerated, and more readily absorbed than the currently available Ascrobic Acid brands on the market. While adult FERN C is affordable, it is admittedly pricier than many Ascorbic Acid brands, not so with FERN C Kidz.
With respect to other Sodium Ascorbate + Zinc supplements for kids, FERN C is actually among the most affordable, and is in fact comparably priced to the leading Vitamin C only brands.
Fern-C Kidz is just Php62.00 per 60 mL bottle and Php 119.00 per 120 mL bottle.
According to FERN Incorporated, sodium ascorbate is actually the better Vitamin C form as it is easier absorbed by the body, thereby allowing kids to reap the benefits of Vitamin C quicker. Moreover, FERN-C kidz does not only give your kids the benefits of Vitamin C. It also contains Zinc to further strengthen their bodies against illness. This combination is ideal for keeping your children safe and protected from infectious diseases.
Fern-C Kidz is available at leading drugstores & supermarkets nationwide. I will update this post when I start giving my son this brand of Vitamin C. I’d also like to research more and ask a pediatrician if changing vitamins every few months is advisable as I have heard about it from fellow moms.
Stay happy & healthy Mommy & Baby!
