Home and Living: Plans for the Holy Week

Holy week is always the hottest week of the year and of course, it is a time for reflection and rest from worldly things and activities. Read: work. Hence to get the most out of this week which could also be your only shot for a long vacation, you must plan your days ahead.

I initially planned a small getaway with my son in Tagaytay but after the alert level was issued, I thought otherwise and canceled our reservation. Too bad we cannot see the lake nor see horse riders in their equestrian boots. I was looking forward to having coffee in that cold breezy climate. However, I feel that it is nature’s way of preventing me from spending on holy week when we should be scrimping and realizing that the best things in life are the small and non-tangible stuff. Here is my revised plan:

1. Wake up early and just have coffee on my porch whilst on my rocking chair

2. Cook from scratch and don’t order or call for delivery

3. Write or blog only in the morning then turn off all connections to cyberspace

4. Walk, walk, and walk with my son in the neighborhood

5. Make use of the inflatable pool for a practical and quick relief from the summer heat

I wish I could write something grand but unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to plan an impressive summer vacation. My one and only plan was busted by a volcano 🙁 What are your plans for holy week?
