Feeling your baby move is the best proof that he is doing well inside your tummy. I first felt my baby kick when he was around 12-13 weeks, pretty early as commonly, first time moms should feel baby’s movement at around 14 weeks up. I guess its because of my weight. Moms on the lighter side feel their baby’s movement easier 🙂
Now that I am on my 17th week, I can feel my little baby move several times a day. Sometimes, I get nervous when the movement are lighter than the day before but now I know how to feel the baby move more.
How to catch your baby’s movement:
1. Lie down after a meal such as lunch and dinner.
2. Relax and stop expecting, baby will kick you when he feels like it.
3. Put your hand on top of your tummy and don’t remove it during your observation time.
4. Try lying down in the afternoon with your feet up.
5. Babies’ movements are usually more obvious right after you lie down or change positions.
Yesterday, I felt my baby boy’s strong kicks thrice in a row while lying down on my bed around 4PM. It was so strong I felt my stomach kind of lifting up. I am very happy to know he is doing great but also anxious at how kicks would feel if he grows even bigger x.x
