The year is fairly new and it’s the time we can make easy and practical annual payments, including medical insurance. When I was working in a normal office setting, I always had Philhealth contributions. I stopped when I was in between jobs and took on freelancing.
I wish I hadn’t because Philhealth means big discounts on medical bills, especially when you’re giving birth. Now I am taking Philhealth contributions seriously.
Updating Your PhilHealth Membership
Any Philhealth member can pay contributions annually. It is also easy to update your membership profile, I added Ashton as my dependent, and also my other half using just one PMRF (PhilHealth Membership Registration Form).
If you are newly married, attach a photocopy of your marriage certificate.
If you have a new dependent (like a newborn), attach a photocopy of your child’s birth certificate.
You’d also be required to bring 1 valid ID. For updating, you must make a personal appearance (based on my experience).
