Indian mangoes are probably one of the best favorite food of pregnant women. Personally I do not recall when I started craving for sour items like sampaloc and green mangoes. I also love super sour sinigang with lots of tamarind and tomatoes.
During this time of our lives, its best to turn to natural food sources (like your backyard). Aside from papaya and malunggay – we also have mango trees.
My mom and Kuya Bernard helped me pick fresh mangoes from the backyard, all of us had fun that afternoon 🙂 Daddy Az also picked one for me weeks ago, imagine being able to grab a fruit from your own house instantly. Wonderful!
I believe indian mangoes are rich in vitamin C, I love dipping them in salt but I should start holding back on sodium if I want to avoid being manas.
