Blame the labels stuck inside their underwear. These can get very stiff after a few washes and cause irritation on whichever area they are touching. Some of Ashton’s briefs had these and I will always have to take out a pair of scissors to cut the label when I see him scratching.
Sometimes, tiny parts of the label remain. There are worse times when I accidentally cut through the fabric leaving a hole on the garment. It’s funny but as a money-saver, I hate damaging items I’ve paid for.
Now I know why some briefs have their labels in front! Just like these Jockey basic briefs that were recently gifted to Ashton.
Apart from being label-free for non-itch comfort, they are 100% cotton, and has allergy-free soft inner waist elastic that prevents irritation. That’s what the packaging says.
Ashton says his new Jockey brief is soft and comfy!
Briefs are also susceptible to lots of wear and tear, especially when your child wears them for school and play. So, I’m banking on Jockey’s promise of shape retention, washability, and compacted fabric for shrinkage control. This pack comes with 3 pieces. I’ll trial these before getting another pack in time for Ashton’s first year in school 🙂
I also like the basic colours. Note you don’t want to send your kid to school wearing cartoon/character briefs. Some schools are strict about using colored or printed undergarments, and plain garments are less noticeable.
I don’t know what the last two icons mean, do you?
Going back to itchy underwear, sometimes this is also caused by not following washing instructions. Also make sure you wash garments thoroughly, especially when using fragrant detergents and fabric softeners 🙂
