How can you save or earn money while spending? Loyalty cards. Ever since having Ashton, I’ve collected a plethora of plastic cards in my wallet – the good kind of cards that gives you consumable points for purchases. The latest addition is Ashton’s Jollibee Kids Club Happy Plus card.
Ashton has been a JKC member since 2012. Here’s a photo of the old card versus the new one:
Old JKC membership costs P50 without load | New JKC Happy Plus costs P100 with load
The secret to making the most out of membership and rewards program is to know the mechanics. For Ashton’s old JKC card – only a few mommies knew that you can present this every time you spend over Php 150 to get a free Vanilla Twirl. Every time and any branch. I never had a problem claiming free ice cream. Since JKC is upgrading to the Happy Plus version, here are the new rules you need to know:
1. You need to load the card to earn points from any Jollibee establishment including Chowking, Greenwich, and Red Ribbon
2. You get double the points when you buy a Jollibee Kiddie Meal
3. FREE Vanilla Twirl can only be claimed once via the coupons included in the JKC Happy Plus kit. Remember to use these coupons within the promo period. Check your kit.
4. Don’t forget to register your card as soon as you can after getting it. If not, you will not be qualified for the monthly raffle of a Jollibee Kiddie Party worth Php 6,000. I have my own Happy Plus that I registered. I track my points online so I can plan on how I want to use them. This is the same way I treat all other loyalty cards. Here’s a screenshot of my recent transactions. You’ll see I still have 15 Happy Plus points that I can use but my balance is already zero. Time to reload and enjoy that 15 happy points.
Also, don’t forget to look at the end of your Jollibee receipts. This is where you’ll find your Happy Plus balance, very important if you decide to use some of your points. You always want to double check if debited or credited points are correct.
Since Ashton now has his own Jollibee Kids Club Happy Plus card, I can teach him more on how to budget and take advantage of reward programs. Here’s another tip, use a big wallet where you can store all these cards so you never leave home without them. No card means no points, freebies, or rewards.
A lot of moms ask where to join activities, I suggest following the Jollibee Happy Plus Facebook Page or being friendly with the Jollibee branch you registered in. From what I know, different branches have different schedule of activities. Just this Sunday, JKC members were treated to this event. Note this was announced on the FB page and is open to all kids.
I hope these Jollibee Kids Club tips will help you get the most out of your kid’s membership. Stay happy! 🙂
