Magnum Manila’s pop-up store is now open in SM Mall of Asia. It is located at the 2nd level, in front of Bread Talk, Uniqlo, and Forever 21. The store first opened on December 19 with the pleasure store focusing on the create your own Magnum experience.
Unlike the previous Magnum Cafe in SM Aura, Magnum Manila only serves custom Magnum bars. Each make your own Magnum costs P120. When my husband and I first went, we were clueless how to order. Luckily, someone from Magnum was there to show us.

Step 1: Choose 3 toppings for your Magnum
There are 18 toppings to choose from. The standard toppings include chocolate crunch balls, grahams, and cookies and cream among others. While the more luxurious toppings include sea salt flakes, chili flakes, pistachios, pastillas, dried mangoes and many more.

Mommy Lace tip: Do not hesitate to include chili flakes for your toppings. It really is a pleasurable experience, not spicy at all. If you must tease your tastebuds, this is the perfect place to do so.
Step 2: Choose your Magnum Bar
You can choose from Vanilla and Milk Chocolate Magnum Bars. My husband and I both enjoy the Vanilla Magnum Bar because it’s a blank palette for the toppings.
Step 3: Choose your Magnum Chocolate Coating
Choose from milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate. If you enjoy a milky icecream then go for the white chocolate. For sweet chocolate lovers, go for the milk chocolate. As for me, I love the bitter & sweet combination of dark chocolate. It isn’t very bitter as others would expect since it goes well with the sweet vanilla icecream bars and the extra toppings.
Step 4: The Magnum pleasure makers (aka staff) will now top your Magnum bar with the toppings you chose. For the final step, you have to choose the drizzle which are also the chocolate to choose from in Step 3. For contrast you can drizzle white chocolate on your dark chocolate Magnum, or dark chocolate drizzle on your white Magnum.
Here’s my first Make Your Own Magnum Bar:

My husband and I enjoyed taking photos of our own Magnums, this makes me think that this place is just perfect for a simple and literally sweet Valentine’s date place. Since Magnum Manila’s pleasure store is in an al fresco setup, this provides a wide view of the shopping mall and gives a very spacious feeling.
It was afternoon when we went and I think the best and most romantic time to go here is from 6pm onwards. Unlike other ice cream and dessert place, Magnum Manila attracts the more mature market (think 20’s and up). That said, the pricing is just right at P120, you enjoy a dessert worthy of the calories in a unique Magnum setup & ambiance.
Look for these three iconic designer Magnums, the giant Magnum logo filled with thousands of cocoa beans, and the iconic M created with Magnum sticks.
FREE Make Your Own Magnum during the Magnum Hour
During the next three Fridays and Saturdays: January 22-23, 29-30, and February 5-6, the Magnum Pleasure Store in SM Mall of Asia will give the chance for pleasure seekers to make their own Magnum bar for FREE. Here’s how:
1. Check out the #MagnumPleasureHour on Twitter and follow @Magnum_PH on twitter and Instagram
2. Save or screenshot the promo photo
3. Bring it and show it at the Magnum Manila counter to claim your FREE Magnum from 6-7pm only.
How exciting, be sure to bring your friends or special someone to enjoy this one of a kind #MagnumHour experience. If you don’t make it, you can always pay P120 for your own Magnum which I think is very reasonable price for this quality icecream, and by that I mean worthy of the calories too.
If you’re asking what’s the difference between enjoying your Magnum in SM Mall of Asia versus the P55 Magnum in the convenience store – the answers are a lot:
1. You get to choose from luxurious toppings
2. The chocolate coating is a lot thicker and more chewy versus the frozen Magnum – they really are made differently in that the frozen Magnum are made to have that distinct “crack” while for the Magnum Bars at the Pleasure Stores, they are made to be more luxurious and pleasurable to enjoy with the thicker coating and chewy texture.
3. You get to enjoy it inside the Magnum Pleasure Store where you can take your time & relax comfortably
I’d absolutely come back, next time I will bring my son Ashton just for the experience and because I know Magnum Pleasure Stores in Manila are following the pop-up setup meaning are open for limited periods only. Case in point, the Magnum Manila store in SM Aura is now closed as planned.
See you at Magnum Manila, SM Mall of Asia – mommy!
