Every time my family and I will go to the kitchenware section of the mall, I always spend a minute or so admiring personal blenders. I imagined making healthy smoothies with them versus my old chunky blender.
Then, one of my housemates taught me to use an online shopping app that has cash on delivery option. Of course, I searched for kitchen appliance including a personal blender. Bam! It was on sale, about 30% cheaper than buying it in the mall. Get your discounted Fukuda Blender for only P990 here.
A day after I ordered, the blender came in all its glory. It came too fast I was not ready to open and use it right away until this weekend.
Easy & Healthy Bannaple Smoothie
1. Chop 1 apple (gala apples are now on sale, I just use SM Bonus brand)
2. Peel and chop 2 medium sized bananas (the riper, the better)
3. Blend all the chopped fruits together until the mixture is smooth
The blender (Fukuda brand) surprisingly does not have an on/off switch. You need to twist the container bottle instead. At first I found it weird and I’m used to pushing several buttons on my traditional blender but after using it for just a few seconds, I’m already a fan of it’s minimalist function.
One time an apple bit got stucked as with other blenders, and the blades won’t rotate. All I had to do was twist the container and blade out of the machine, turn it upside down and shake. This is versus troubleshooting by mixing the contents with a spoon when using my old blender. All it took was one shake and voila, the fruits turned into a velvety smooth banana-apple smoothie.
I follow fitness folks on Instagram and most of them use personal blenders like this, now I know why they’re not lazy to come up with healthy smoothies for breakfast and snacks – it’s so easy to use and clean because of its size and design.
First smoothie was enjoyed by Ashton and he said it’s a “pop” as in it earned his thumbs up.
We’re looking for more fruit/vegetable combinations to try, please share your smoothie ideas with me via comments 🙂
