Kathie Ramirez says:
Based on my experience on Complementary feeding my baby girl, I stick with small portions to start with and only give more if my baby is still hungry.
I also gave her praise whenever she finished her meal or enjoyed a healthy snack. It’s also a good idea to talk about the food I enjoy. Things like ‘nyam nyam, this apple is gorgeous’ or ‘this broccoli is great’ to emphasize the foods I’d like her to enjoy.
I also have two spoons during meal time – one so I can concentrate on getting the food into her and the other for her to experiment with, messy but fun!
The most important thing when feeding my baby is to try to be patient! It might seem like her tastes are changing by the day, but it is important to persevere and I make sure she gets a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet.

Jhoni Ablaza says:
While feeding my baby I make sure I bring my baby’s high chair right up to the table, so he feels part of the family. It is also better for him to observe everyone else enjoying their meals, as he’s more likely to do the same. Maintain a happy atmosphere at the table, i always sing for my baby ” kakain na, kakain na, ang baby-ang baby.. ang sarap sarap ng luto ni mommy”
Another way to make sharing mealtimes easier is to provide your baby with finger foods, such as pieces of cooked pasta or little squares of toast. These will keep him busy – allowing you to enjoy your food too. I often used this technique at breakfast time and would pour cereal, such as crisped rice.
Lastly, I always compliment my baby by saying “wow, very good” with matching clapped my hands and he smiles.

Aida Villanueva says:
There are a few things we can do to help overcome any reluctance from our baby while they’re trying new textures and tastes but the main thing is, not to worry – it can take up to 10 tastes before our baby may like a new food – so don’t give up!
1. I plan to introduce new foods when my baby is alert and happy – mid-morning is often a good time.
2. Introducing new foods when my baby is hungry for milk will probably just frustrate them.
3. My baby often reject what she don’t know, so I try giving her a feel for what’s to come by putting a blob of the new food on the table or her high chair tray. I let her squish and look at it before I feed it to my baby on a spoon. Remember to keep your surfaces clean!
4. If my baby rejects a new food, I combine it with a food they know and enjoy, e.g. add peaches to a little bit of apple that I know she like.
5. My baby want to control the spoon. And I am prepared for some mess – then I let her grasp it, while I guide it firmly towards, and hopefully into, her mouth.
6. Or I have two spoons – one so I can concentrate on getting the food into my baby and the other for her to experiment with (messy, but fun!).
