Here in Cavite, we are always talking about new malls and establishments to open in our province. Finally, the newest SM supermall everyone was excited about is now open – SM City Trece Martires! Talks about this mall started last year and became louder as the mall opening neared.
When we go to the “bayan” or market of Trece Martires, we always hear vendors, jeepney drivers, and locals speculate about the SM that will soon open. It was the same in our house, so when we heard that the mall opened – my husband and I beat everyone to going first!
From SM Bacoor, we rode the bus going to Trece Martires. The travel to this simple town is always very relaxing, you will encounter lots of greenery and even rivers below several bridges. SM City Trece Martires is nearest neighboring areas such as Ternate, Indang, Amadeo, Maragondon, Magallanes, Naic, General Trias, and Tanza.
We like dating at SM supermalls and this one was extra special because everything in SM City Trece Martires is spanking new. It is unlike other SM lifestyle malls in Cavite (SM Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Rosario) because of its more modern look and feel. SM City Trece Martires makes us people from the province of Cavite feel like we are in Metro Manila.
I particularly enjoyed browsing Surplus for affordable fashion. The newest store in Trece Martires is also edgy with a new and fun atmosphere for bargain hunters like me. Surplus is located at Upper Ground floor of SM City Trece Martires.
For my husband, he enjoyed what else but the gadgets and the freshly opened SM Cyberzone. It looks so close to the Cyberzone at SM Mall of Asia. Even when I am not a fan of too many gadgets, I enjoyed the bright and techie atmosphere in this place.
SM City Trece Martires is a 3-storey complete lifestyle malls that house big name brands, restaurants, and other shops. Of course, there is the newest SM Cinema Trece Martires.
We watched Captain America: Civil War in one of the 4 fully digitized cinemas. My husband and I really enjoyed the look of this cinema, from Snack Time, ticketing booths, comfort rooms – everything looks so fresh and updated.
It all added to our amazing cinema experience, and we didn’t have to leave Cavite!
Before we left, we tried one food kiosk (perhaps one of the most affordable) – Bibingkinitan. It capped off our simple, exciting, and experiential date and visit to the new SM City Trece Martires.
Apart from the mall itself, I also like the unique location of this mall which is within what we call “bayan”. When you step outside, you can also enjoy the local marketplace for a complete Trece Martires experience. Everything you will need is in this place!
SM City Trece Martires is along Governor’s Drive and Capitol Road. We hope to come back very soon with our entire family! Someday, we hope that our own SM Bacoor will also get an upgrade and extension 🙂
