What I have been putting off, I finally accomplished last Saturday at The Medical City. Like what I blogged before, I have breast lumps in my right boob and after consulting a general surgeon, an ultrasound was recommended. I was really nervous and scared as to what the results would be and prayed really hard that they were nothing serious.
For the first time, I underwent breast ultrasound and unlike what I expected, it wasn’t quick. Every square inch of my breasts were carefully examined and I could only guess what the doctors were seeing on the monitor. Turns out, I do not have lumps in just one breast but both! I had plenty.
It was really nerve-wracking to wait for the doctors to interpret the results but then thank God, they said they were indeed galactoceles or milk-filled cysts. The ultrasound was necessary to document and make a record of my breasts’ health, just in case something else arise in the future.
Dr. Solamo (find the handsome doctor inside the breast clinic) just told me to come back if I experience any other weird things like swelling or pain. He also advised me to avoid milk stasis by emptying my breasts regularly and observing good hygiene.
Thank God I am cleared and it always pays to be cautious when it comes to our health. At least now I do not have any worries 🙂 The breast ultrasound costs Php 2,000
